An estimated 875 Georgia Cancer Specialists staff members and their families gathered for a day of roller coasters and recognition at Employee Appreciation Day held October 6 at Six Flags Over Georgia in Atlanta.
Anthony LaGroon, Vice President of Human Resources at GCS and organizer of the event, said the efforts of everyone at GCS are greatly valued. “It is important for the entire staff to realize that their commitment is appreciated,” said LaGroon. “Today is one way of saying that their hard work has not gone unnoticed.”
Tickets to the park, as well as a buffet lunch at the Six Flags pavilion, were provided by GCS, and all attendees were given a golf shirt with the GCS logo to commemorate the occasion.

The list was compiled by surveying approximately 260,000 doctors in the 50 largest Metropolitan Statistical Areas in the U.S. who have active status in the American Medical Association. Each physician was asked which specialist, in 35 different fields, “he or she would consider most desirable for care of a loved one.”
The six GCS “Top Docs” are: Dr. Rodolfo E. Bordoni, Dr. Bruce A. Feinberg, Dr. Janice A. Galleshaw, Dr. Bancroft Lesesne, Dr. Melvin R. Moore, and Dr. Jayanthi Srinivasiah.
