Dr. Jayanthi Srinivasiah has been recognized as one of “America’s Top Doctors” by Redbook Magazine, a national women’s magazine.
Dr. Srinivasiah, who practices at Georgia Cancer Specialists’ DeKalb and Gwinnett clinics, was one of 11 doctors recognized in the Atlanta area, and the only medical oncologist. The list focused on physicians who treat women for breast cancer. Other specialties included diagnostic radiologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, surgeons, and plastic surgeons.
The list was compiled by Redbook Magazine and Castle Connolly, the publisher of the consumer health-care guide “America’s Top Doctors.” To compile the lists, Redbook Magazine reports that “a physician-led research team asked
doctors to identify exceptional practitioners in their areas, then assessed each nominated physician’s education and experience.”
Dr. Srinivasiah was featured in the October issue of Redbook, a 2.3-million circulation Hearst Publication, which has a special section with a listing of “America’s Top Doctors” along with other information geared to help women fight breast cancer, as part of the magazine’s editorial support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
