In a continued effort to serve the community’s health needs, the Georgia Cancer Specialists Macon office took part in the Cherry Blossom Health Fair on Saturday, March 22 at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in Macon, Georgia.
The medical exposition, part of the International Cherry Blossom Festival, featured free health screenings, exhibits, and giveaways.
For those in attendance, the fair was an opportunity to meet with health experts and receive routine medical services and important health tips. The event was open to all and free of charge.
GCS physician Dr. Al Soltan and GCS staff members Erin Burch and Dawn Key donated their time to serve the public and offer advice on cancer prevention.
“It is important for the people of this community to know that GCS is concerned with their well-being,” said Dr. Soltan, who practices in Macon. “This health fair is an excellent demonstration of that.”
The Cherry Blossom Festival was founded in 1982 and is held each March in Macon, Georgia. This year, it featured 10 days of activities and entertainment, including hot air balloons, parades, arts and crafts, amusement rides, fireworks, concerts, and historic tours.
