Georgia Cancer Specialists physician Dr. William Whaley was the subject of a recent feature story in Season magazine’s Summer 2004 issue. “Legendary oncologist Dr. William Whaley brings cancer treatment to Georgia’s blue ridge mountains” gives a brief synopsis of Dr. Whaley’s career and his practice’s recent merger with GCS.
Dr. Bruce Feinberg, President and CEO of GCS, said, “Dr. Whaley is a fine oncologist and we are pleased that he is part of the Georgia Cancer Specialists team.”
In the article, GCS is described as “one of the nation’s leading cancer groups.”
The article states that Dr. Whaley is “known as one of Atlanta’s premier medical oncologists who has included many celebrities, from country music superstars to political heads of state, within his patient roster.”
In addition to his duties with Georgia Cancer Specialists, Dr. Whaley is also the Team Internist for the National Hockey League’s Atlanta Thrashers.
Dr. Whaley practices at the GCS Northside, St. Joseph, Blue Ridge, and Blairsville offices.
