The physicians of Georgia Cancer Specialists are inviting their patients to attend the 15 th annual Magic of Life (MOL) celebration for cancer survivors Sunday, October 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Stone Mountain Park. The largest cancer survivor event in the South, MOL gives survivors a chance to join together and celebrate their achievements and successes in the fight against the disease.
Dr. Bruce Feinberg, President/CEO of GCS and the founder of MOL, said this event increases in importance each year.
“As cancer shifts paradigms from death sentence to chronic disease, events such as MOL are going to become the rule and not the exception because so many more people are alive and thriving after their treatment. They should celebrate their triumph,” he said.
This year MOL will be a picnic-style event at the Stone Mountain Park Outdoor Sports Pavilion and will include access to all of the park’s many attractions. Survivors and one guest receive a free pass for lunch, entrance to the park, and access to park activities; additional guests will be charged $15. Survivors will also receive a free T-shirt. No registration is required for GCS patients. Dress is casual. The event is rain or shine.
Busses will be available for survivors living in the Blue Ridge, Macon, Marietta, and Milledgeville areas. For further instructions, contact your GCS office.
