Dr. Rodolfo Bordoni of the Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) spoke at “New Developments in Lung Cancer and Head and Neck Cancer: A Post-IASLC Update,” a regional symposium held on Saturday, October 8, 2005, at the InterContinental Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta. GCS is the largest private oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast and a leader in advanced cancer treatment and research.
Dr. Bordoni spoke on the subject of chemotherapeutic options for advanced non-small cell lung cancer, and also served as a program chair at the event. He is board-certified in oncology, hematology, and internal medicine, and his special interests include targeted therapy in lung cancer.
“I was pleased to participate in this event and be able to share information with other fine oncologists from the Southeast,” said Dr. Bordoni.
The conference was hosted by Physicians Education Resource, and counted for CME accreditation and credit designation for those who attended. The lectures were mainly targeted towards medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and thoracic surgeons specializing in the head and neck as well as other professionals in related fields.
