The Georgia Cancer Specialists’s Stemmer office was chosen to receive the WSB-Radio sponsored AJC Jobs “Breakfast Break” recognition award on Friday, December 31. WSB-Radio personality Scott Slade delivered a biscuit breakfast to the entire office staff in recognition of their hard work and dedication.
Mid-level provider Kennon McCollum, who works at Stemmer and submitted the office as a candidate for the program, said it was exciting to get chosen and have the staff recognized.
“I heard of this program and I thought our staff would be perfect because everyone works very hard and is dedicated to their work. It was a lot of fun being chosen and having WSB-Radio come out to the office,” he said.
A different company is chosen weekly from submissions and then announced during the eight o’clock hour on “Atlanta’s Morning News on WSB.” Following the program, Scott Slade takes the biscuit breakfast to the selected office. In addition, a group photo is taken of the entire staff and placed in the Sunday Atlanta Journal-Constitution recognizing the winner.
