Beginning March 14, Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) will host a bi-monthly series of free health lectures at the Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care at the Dan S. Maddock Cancer Treatment Center as part of its ongoing commitment to educate the public in cancer awareness. GCS Certified Dietitian Taryn Tennyson and GCS Wellness Coordinator Toli VanBuskirk will lead the talks.
GCS, the largest private oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast, is hosting these twice-monthly talks as part of Alive and Thriving: A Community Program for Cancer Awareness and Wellness, which will take place at the Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care every second Tuesday and fourth Thursday of the month through July 27. All classes will be held from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
“We’re thrilled to be able to bring this program to the Hawkinsville community as part of GCS’s ongoing education initiative,” said Dr. Cheryl Jones, GCS’s Middle Georgia Region Director.
The GCS office in the GCTCC at the Dan S. Maddock Cancer Treatment Center is located near Taylor Regional Hospital at 760 341 Boulevard. The phone number is 478-783-4022.
