As a part of its ongoing cancer education initiative, Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) set up a booth at the Cowles Clinic Heath Fair and Barbecue Cook-off on the Cowles Clinic campus in Lake Oconee, Georgia on Saturday, July 15.
“We were thrilled to be able to participate in this wonderful community event,” said Dr. Cheryl Jones of GCS. “It is always fulfilling to promote cancer prevention and education to the public.”
Dr. Jones was also interviewed by local radio station Dock 103.9 FM at the event.
During the event, Dr. Jones joined Dr. Wendy Hawke, Pamela Prince, and Amy Boren of GCS in handing out popcorn, sunscreen, and literature on cancer prevention. Over 500 people were in attendance.
