Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS)—the largest private oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast—continues to grow and expand its services with the addition of Dr. Louis Crain Garrot to its Kennestone office in Marietta. GCS now has 41 physicians and 33 offices throughout Metro Atlanta and North and Central Georgia.
Dr. Garrot is now seeing patients at the Kennestone office (340 Kennestone Hospital Boulevard, Suite 100). The phone number is 770-590-8311.

Dr. Garrot joins GCS after completing his fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, and his residency at Louisiana State University’s Earl K. Long Hospital. He received his medical degree from LSU’s School of Medicine.
Dr. Garrot is board certified in internal medicine, and is board-eligible in medical oncology and hematology. He is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Dr. Garrot has published studies in the area of neuroendocrine tumors, and presented research findings at national scientific meetings.
His areas of special interest include gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers, as well as lymphoma and myeloma.
