Dr. Bruce Feinberg, President and CEO of Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS)—the largest private oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast— was featured in a February 18 Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) article.
AJC’s Gayle White penned the article, titled “Insurance a prime weapon against cancer,” which featured Dr. Feinberg’s response to a recent American Cancer Society study that showed cancer patients with private insurance are more likely to be diagnosed early, giving them a greater chance of long-term survival.
“We must continue to emphasize the importance of early screenings and diagnoses to those at risk of cancer and to their health care providers—doing so can prolong lives and significantly reduce the cost of treatment,” Dr. Feinberg said.
Dr. Bruce A. Feinberg was instrumental in establishing Georgia Cancer Specialists, the largest and first integrated oncologic specialty practice in the Southeast. As Chief Executive Officer and President of GCS, he has expanded community access to oncology care by bringing the latest cancer treatments, technologies, and clinical trials closer to the patient.
