Collaborative Effort Between Georgia Cancer Specialists and Atlanta Oncology Associates Offers Comprehensive Cancer Care in Lawrenceville
The Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care at Gwinnett Medical Center — a comprehensive cancer treatment center brought to you by Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) and Atlanta Oncology Associates (AOA) — recently hosted a ribbon cutting celebration for its new office in Lawrenceville, located at 698 Duluth Highway on the Gwinnett Medical Center campus.
The event was held on May 1, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., drawing nearly 100 physicians, medical professionals, and dignitaries.
“Patients undergoing treatment for cancer receive care and services which often take them to many locations, several days of the week,” said Dr. Bruce Feinberg, President/CEO of GCS. “By partnering with AOA at our new Lawrenceville office, we will be able to save those people precious time and energy by providing comprehensive care under one roof.”
AOA physicians Dr. Mark Quinn and Dr. Craig Wilkinson practice at the new office alongside GCS physician Dr. James Hamrick.
“It’s wonderful to know that cancer patients in Gwinnett can streamline their treatment schedules and spend more time resting at home,” Dr. Hamrick said.
“We are very excited about the opening of the Lawrenceville center,” said Dr. Quinn, who has been practicing in Lawrenceville for nearly seven years. “We are proud to offer the citizens of Gwinnett County the best in total cancer care,” he said.
Dr. Wilkinson agreed. “Gwinnettians not only have the best cancer care available within miles, they have it all under one roof,” he said.
Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care at GMC is a comprehensive cancer care facility where patients have access to many of the services associated with cancer treatment, including medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, and oncology specialty pharmacy, in addition to nutritional, wellness, and genetic counseling.
