Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) physician Dr. Carlos Franco recently participated in a national breast cancer awareness initiative. In a span of four hours, Dr. Franco participated in 16 interviews for print, TV, radio, and online media aimed at educating women, particularly Hispanics, about prevention, screenings, treatments, and how Genentech’s breast cancer drug Avastin may help them.
Dr. Franco appeared on national Hispanic TV stations such as CNN en Espanol, Telemundo, Univsion, and Telefutura, as well as CBS affiliate WBZ in Boston, MA and independent station Bay News 9 in Tampa, FL. He hit the radio airwaves on national radio (CNN Radio Noticias) and also on local stations from Los Angeles to Washington D.C., and from Texas to Minnesota.
