Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) physician Dr. Jayanthi Srinivasiah (“Dr. Jay”) was recently featured in a WSB-TV story about genetic testing and a Spice Radio interview in which she discussed breast cancer, incidence, screening, and new developments.
“I’m thrilled at the opportunity to speak about issues that affect Georgia’s cancer community,” Dr. Jay said. “It’s important that we continue to educate ourselves.”
In the WSB-TV (Channel 2 Action News) story, which aired in January, Dr. Jay spoke about the controversy surrounding genetic testing to find out one’s chances of developing cancer. The Spice Radio (1040 AM) interview — also airing in January — featured Dr. Jay as she fielded questions by Dr. Gulshan Harjee and Spice Radio listeners about breast cancer, incidence, screening, and new developments in cancer care.
Dr. Jay — whose special interests are lymphoma, blood disorders, clinical research, breast cancer, and genetics — is a member of the Medical Association of Georgia, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the DeKalb County Medical Society. Dr. Jay has achieved national recognition as one of Atlanta’s Top Doctors for Oncology. Dr. Jay leads the Clinical Trials and Genetics Committee at DeKalb Medical, and is an Investigator for Georgia C.O.R.E. (Center for Oncology Research and Education).
