Dr. Jayanthi Srinivasiah Honored by Atlanta Dream as Woman of Inspiration
Dr. Jayanthi Srinivasiah of Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) — the largest private oncology and hematology practice in the Southeast — recently received recognition as a Woman of Inspiration from the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream.
“I’m truly honored to be chosen as a Woman of Inspiration by the Atlanta Dream,” said Dr. Srinivasiah.
The Dream asked the metro Atlanta community to honor Atlanta women who have made positive and inspirational impacts on the lives of others. The Dream accepted many essay nominations and selected 20 nominees as Women of Inspiration.
Dr. Jay and her fellow Women of Inspiration were invited to the August 15 Atlanta Dream home game, where a pre-game mixer was hosted inside a suite at Phillips Arena and the 20 women were honored on-court at halftime.
Although Dr. Jay’s impressive accomplishments in medicine played a role in her selection for this award, a significant reason for her selection was her passionate dedication to do everything in her power to ensure each of her patients has the opportunity to survive.
“We’re very proud of Dr. Jay,” said Dr. Bruce Feinberg, president and CEO of GCS. “She has always been a great asset to our practice.”
Dr. Jay’s special interests include lymphoma, blood disorders, clinical research, breast cancer, and genetics. She completed her Fellowship at Emory University and has received Top Doctor recognition from Atlanta magazine, Consumers’ Guide to Top Doctors, Redbook magazine, and other publications.
Dr. Jay currently practices at the GCS Stemmer office in Decatur and leads the Clinical Trials, Genetics, and Cancer Committee at DeKalb Medical.
