Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) — the largest private medical oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast — continues to grow and expand its services with the addition of Dr. Karthi Subbannan to its Johns Creek office. GCS now has 42 physicians and 30 offices throughout Metro Atlanta and North and Central Georgia.
Dr. Subbannan joins Drs. Jayanthi Srinivasiah and Stephen Szabo at the Johns Creek office, and she is now seeing patients.
“Dr. Subbannan is a talented young physician and we all look forward to working with her as she helps expand the Johns Creek office,” said Dr. Bruce Feinberg, President/CEO of GCS.
Dr. Subbannan comes to GCS after completing her fellowship and residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She received her medical degree from Coimbatore Medical College, in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.
Dr. Subbannan is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the Georgia Society of Clinical Oncology.
She is board certified in oncology and internal medicine, as well as by the ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates), and her areas of special interest include hematology and oncology. She has published and presented several reports, including Phenytoin Induced Hypersensitivity Syndrome and Necrotizing Lymphadenitis Associated with the Phenytoin-induced Hypersensitivity Syndrome.
