Georgia Cancer Specialists physician Dr. Jayanthi Srinivasiah (Dr. Jay) visited the WRFG 89.3 FM station at the end of October to discuss breast cancer prevention, risk factors, screening options, and advancements in research and treatment. Dr. Jay, who names breast cancer treatment among her special interests, appeared on the “Health Issues Today” program.
This dedication to community outreach is nothing new to Dr. Jay, who makes such efforts a consistent priority.
Dr. Jay said, “I know cancer is a frightening concept to many people, and that’s why education is so vital. The more you know about how to prevent and screen for cancer as well as the treatment options, the more empowered you’ll feel about your overall health.”
