Dr. Stephen M. Szabo, Dr. Jorge P. Leguizamo, and Dr. Victoria L. Afshani represented Georgia Cancer Specialists at Gwinnett Medical Center’s 2nd annual Department of Medicine Primary Care Summit. The event – held on Saturday, February 26, at the Gwinnett Hospital Center Resource Center in Lawrenceville – was a gathering of several Atlanta-area physicians.
“This event gives us a chance to spread the word about GCS to referring physicians, and to educate them about the high quality cancer care we offer,” said Dr. Szabo. “This is something that is quickly becoming an annual tradition for the Gwinnett-area GCS offices.”
“We enjoy the opportunity to reach out to the local medical community in this way,” added Dr. Leguizamo. “It’s a place with an atmosphere of sharing and exchange, where we can make connections that will benefit our patients – both present and future.”
