Dr. Tolbert received his Master of Science in Clinical Research from Emory University College of Arts and Sciences with a focus in prevention of colorectal cancer. He practiced general internal medicine with his father in rural Tennessee for five years before returning to Atlanta to train in hematology and oncology and has maintained his board certification in internal medicine.
Dr. Tolbert is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the American College of Physicians, the Georgia Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Tennessee Medical Association.
