Sherrie graduated from St. Petersburg College in 1994 with an Associate’s degree in nursing. She spent the following year working on the medical-surgical and post open heart unit at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida. The following year she transitioned to Cornerstone Cancer Center where she began working as a chemotherapy nurse and found her passion. She continued as a chemotherapy nurse until 2010 when she graduated with both her Bachelor’s degree as well as a Masters in Science with a concentration in Adult Oncology Nursing. Shortly thereafter, she began caring for cancer patients as an Advanced Practice Provider. Most recently, Sherrie joined Georgia Cancer Specialists in April of 2024 where she cares for patients with a variety of solid tumors as well as malignant and benign hematologic conditions. Sherrie is an active member of the Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, canning, scrapbooking, quilting, driving back roads with her husband in his 1965 Chevy C-10 and watching her grandson Jackson grow.
